Hello Library Lovers!
Welcome to TheLibraryLady.org. I’m so glad you’re here.
2020 has been a hard year, but you know what you can always count on? Yep, that’s right, BOOKS. I’ve been making some new literary discoveries during this time…from finally trying out LibraryThing to having a pretty intense internal debate over Which is better, the book or the TV show? Corfu Edition (as in The Corfu Trilogy by Gerald Durrell vs. The Durrells in Corfu on PBS Masterpiece– hint, there is no right answer).
To check out my musings on these and other bookish things, check out my blog. I promise not to be too serious and to only reference LOTR in the most broad of terms so as not to isolate the uninitiated (though really, if you don’t know your Middle Earth from your Hogwarts, this may not be the site for you).
To learn more about me personally, check out the About Me page. As I am currently library-less due to the pandemic, here you will find a shameless link to my LinkedIn profile where you can learn all about my random amalgamation of qualifications, such as being a credentialed Healthcare Documentation Specialist (I transcribe and edit technical documents with ease!), certified ACE group fitness & Zumba instructor (I am comfortable motivating others in a group setting!), in addition to all the library things, like being a recent MSLIS graduate (Drexel 2019, Go Dragons!) and Beta Phi Mu member (The smartest of the smarty-pants, the know-it-all-iest of the know-it-alls). If you are looking for an employee of the “Renaissance Woman” variety, please contact me.
Finally, for more information about really cool libraries and general book related resources, check out Library Stuff. If you want to know more about how to become an active library lover (emphasis on the active!), Fitness is a roundup of my favorite activities. Like any millennial in good standing, you can find me most readily through my Instagram page, @thefitlibrarylady which I hope you’ll give a like and a follow.
Happy reading, friends!
